SECRETARIAT

Secretary-General
Harsha Ahmed (he/him) is a sophomore at Rutgers-New Brunswick. He is a part of the Honors College and Rutgers Business School, where he is majoring in Finance and Business Analytics & Information Technology (it’s a mouthful, call it BAIT). He has been involved in Model UN since middle school, and loves travelling to conferences, where he gets to meet new people and check out the place. Harsha is our travel team’s Head Delegate, and is also part of the National High School MUN Staff, an analyst for the Rutgers Consulting Group, and a Project Manager for Net Impact. When he’s not academically locked in, he is busy listening to music, or hiking. He is very excited to see you all this spring!

Director-General
David Kershner (he/him) is a sophomore at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, double-majoring in Political Science and Cinema Studies, with a minor in Labor Studies. He hopes to attend law school to practice Intellectual Property and Copyright law. He has been involved in Model UN since his freshman year of college, and has loved competing on the circuit ever since! David is our travel team’s Director of Logistics. He also serves as a voting member of the Rutgers University Student Assembly, inducted member of the Rutgers University Pre-Law Society, and Treasurer of Rutgers College Democrats. When he finds some free time, he’s always on board to fly to a new destination with his friends, spend some time down the shore, and rewatch his favorite movie, Titanic, over and over again.

Undersecretary-General of Training
Liam Carroll (he/him) is a junior at Rutgers-New Brunswick majoring in History and Philosophy and planning to attend law school. He has competed in Model United Nations for the past five years and loves to compete at conferences across the circuit. Liam currently serves as our travel team’s President, and competes on Rutgers’ Mock Trial team, serves as the Tournament Director for the Rutgers Mock Trial Invitational, and conducts research as a member of the Lloyd C. Gardner Fellowship. Outside of these organizations, Liam also enjoys spending time with friends and reading A Song of Ice and Fire. He is hoping that RMUNC will provide high schoolers with the opportunity to develop their public speaking and leadership skills while collaborating with others to create comprehensive solutions to global challenges before moving on to the collegiate level.

Undersecretary-General of Delegate Affairs
Sam Brown (He/Him) is a second-year student majoring in History and Political Science. He has participated in Rutgers Model UN since the beginning of college, most recently serving as Crisis Director for The Third Crusade at the third iteration of the Rutgers International Security Council. Sam has been passionate about history for most of his life and is looking forward to translating that into this crisis. Along with Model UN, Sam is also a member of Rutgers’ Ski and Snowboard team. In his free time, Sam enjoys playing soccer, video games, and hiking. He can’t wait to see delegates engage in diplomacy, negotiation, and debate at the first iteration of RMUNC!

Chief of Staff
Aryan Ganti (He/Him) is a sophomore at Rutgers University majoring in Finance, Mathematics, and Computer Science. He joined his high school’s Model UN delegation in 9th grade. Aryan is also an avid traveler, having been to 87 countries, and a HUGE fan of Formula 1. When he’s not screaming “GO PAPAYA!” trackside or spending hours stuck on a plane, Aryan enjoys watching sports and making way too many trips to the Big Apple next door. Aryan is excited to serve as a founding member of RMUNC secretariat
