
TRAVEL GUIDE
RISC III will be held on the College Avenue Campus of Rutgers University–New Brunswick, in the College Avenue Student Center (CASC)
By Plane:
Four major airports service the central New Jersey area: Newark Liberty International Airport (closest to Rutgers), John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and the Philadelphia International Airport. New York airports offer shuttle services between terminals and the NY Penn Station as well as the NY Port Authority.
By Train:
The train is the easiest means of transportation from Trenton/Philadelphia as well as New York City. The New Brunswick Train Station, located at the intersection of French St & Albany St, New Brunswick, NJ sits on the Northeast Corridor rail path and is serviced by New Jersey Transit and Amtrak.
By Bus:
New Brunswick is also serviced by Coach USA as well as New Jersey Transit buses. The closest bus stop to the Rutgers University College Avenue Campus is located on Albany St, New Brunswick, just off of French St across from the train station.
By Car:
NJ Turnpike (North or South) – Take Exit 9 and bear right after the toll booths. Follow signs for Route 18 North–New Brunswick. Take the “George Street–Rutgers University–College Avenue” exit.
Garden State Parkway (Southbound) – Take exit 129 and head south. Then follow the New Jersey Turnpike Directions above.
Garden State Parkway (Northbound) – Take exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North. After 24 miles, you will pass the New Jersey Turnpike entrance. Follow the Turnpike directions above.

Parking:
Rutgers University offers parking permits on Livingston, Busch, Cook, and Douglass campuses in New Brunswick for $5 per day for visitors. There are a number of parking lots in downtown New Brunswick, including one across the street from the New Brunswick train station, but spots tend to be more difficult to find and more expensive.

Weekday Inter-Campus Travel:
Rutgers offers free bus services to and from all 5 New Brunswick Campuses: College Avenue, Livingston, Busch, Cook, and Douglass. Directions and additional details are forthcoming, but for an overview please visit Rutgers Institutional Planning & Operations for a brief guide.
Weekend Inter-Campus Travel:
Two bus lines (Weekend 1 & 2) run across all five Rutgers-NB campuses on weekends. Please refer to the above Institutional Planning & Operations guide for an introductory guide.
Where to Stay
The Heldrich Hotel is located 25 minutes away from the College Avenue Student Center and a brief walk from the train station. The Hyatt Regency is a 20-minute walk from the CASC and near the train station.
