New Jersey finally had something to brag about. In 1996, one year removed from the most dominant Stanley Cup run in modern hockey history, the Devils were supposed to be the beginning of a dynasty. Instead, the arena is half-empty, and somewhere in a filing cabinet, there’s a document with the word Nashville on it that nobody is supposed to know about.

Welcome to the boardroom. It’s uglier here than it looks from the outside. Everyone has an agenda, and the championship banner hanging in the rafters is the only thing holding this whole operation together.

Aryan Ganti

Aryan Ganti is a sophomore majoring in Finance, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Originally born in India, Aryan moved to the United States when he was 4, and has since had the pleasure of traveling to 87 countries. When he’s not in his dorm, locked in, or traveling around the world, Aryan enjoys going to the beach or the Big Apple with his friends, keeping his longstanding streak of learning French on Duolingo, and screaming “GO PAPAYA!” on the TV when watching Formula 1 every Sunday. A fun fact about him is that he can finish JetPunk’s Countries of the World quiz in 5:39 and attempts to name every capital in the world. While Aryan wishes he knew how to say “À tout à l’heure” to you all, he hopes you all enjoy his version of the Devil’s boardroom and is excited to see you all in November. Grace Wu

Grace Wu is a sophomore at Rutgers Business School, double-majoring in Finance and BAIT, minoring in Linguistics. Born and raised in China for most of her lifetime, Grace spent her childhood in Nairobi, Kenya, and moved to America when she was 17. She serves as Director of Communications for RUAIR, Director for NHSMUN (the world’s largest high school MUN), and competes with the Rutgers MUN Travel Team. Outside of MUN, Grace is passionate about business case competitions, client-facing consulting projects, and marketing, with a goal of pursuing a career in investment banking. In her free time — a rare commodity — you could always catch Grace experimenting with new cooking recipes, listening to music, or doing some sort of workout, whether that’s volleyball, snowboarding, rowing, or gym, depending on the day.
